Description AMERICAN MUSCLE DOCKS & FABRICATION (AMD) | Wellsburg, WV – Production Associate: Welder-Fabricator Our company is hiring a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our Wellsburg, WV production team. In this hands-on role, you'll weld, fabricate, assemble, and move and warehouse materials used to build our boat dock systems, floats, gangways, and marine hardware. You'll report to a Team Leader and work closely with the Vice President of Operations in a fast-paced, team-based shop. WHAT WE OFFER: We offer a competitive hourly wage of $23-$28 per hour (based on experience, AWS certifications, and pre-employment weld test results. The AMD production schedule is a 4-day work week, 40 hours work week, 7 am - 5 pm, Monday through Thursday — with occasional overtime. YOUR ROLE: Read and follow workmanship standards and verbal instructions to produce quality parts and assemblies. Perform equipment setup checks; adhere to safe job procedures; maintain accurate production, quality, and safety documentation; and comply with Safety Data Sheets and safe job procedures. Demonstrate attention to detail performing MIG, TIG, and spot welding; operate surface grinders and cutting torches, use hand and power tools. Self-check your work to confirm it meets specifications. Move, organize, and store raw materials, finished goods, tools, and machine parts. Use proper lifting technique and equipment such as forklifts, stand-ups, pallet jacks, tow motors, safety cages, and industrial ladders. Meet "safety-sensitive" position requirements to include pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background check. Perform mechanically-assisted or team lifting of loads up to 70 lbs. Requirements THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS: High school diploma or equivalent; AWS welding certification is preferred, and metal fabrication, OSHA-10/30, or forklift certifications are a plus. 2-5 years of welding experience (TIG/MIG/Stick) fabricating aluminum and steel. Hands-on setup and operation of press brakes, drill presses, grinders, ironworkers, saws, or shears. Forklift certification (propane, electric, or diesel) Carpentry, warehousing, or equipment maintenance experience - a plus. Success in this role depends on solid applied math for counting, weighing, and measuring to specification. Ability to read drawings and blueprints; strong time management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Effective email, Word, Excel, and web-based timecard systems experience. Self-motivated, highly ethical, respectful of colleagues and supervisors; eager to learn.
