OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter/Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems and metal components in accordance with detailed specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding, pipe fitting, and working with a variety of materials. A strong, mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using hand tools and machinery, and the ability to interpret blueprints are essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
2+ years of experience as a welder.
Interprovincial Red Seal, PWP7, PWP10 tickets is an asset.
Valid welding certification, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), - certified in all positions.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment and a strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Able to work well under pressure and have a strong attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to required specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
Perform welding tasks using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick) to create strong, leak-free joints.
Install and secure piping systems in a variety of environments, including industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets industry standards and project requirements.
Repair or replace damaged pipe, fittings, and components as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
