SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma is required, certificate from a college or vocational institute preferred
  • 2 years experience in a production/ fabrication environment
  • Holds, or is able to pass CWB certification tests
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail
  • Possesses a “take charge attitude”

Responsibilities
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Perform basic cutting and flat and vertical welding of mild steel and aluminum components
  • Perform basic shop operations; loads and unloads materials, assists with equipment and shop maintenance
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Follow and enforce all safety measures
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Most work will be in our main fabrication facility, may be deployed to job sites as required
