Sport Systems was established in 1978, when the first gooseneck-style basketball system appeared in Ottawa. We’ve spent the past three decades working hard to reach the top. We work closely with school boards, golf courses, municipal governments, operators of sports facilities, pro sports teams and other clients in the international athletic equipment market. We provide our clients with extensive industry product knowledge, high-quality Canadian-made equipment and expert customer service that is based on always acting with integrity, always keeping a positive attitude and always staying committed to our values.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma is required, certificate from a college or vocational institute preferred
• 2 years experience in a production/ fabrication environment
• Holds, or is able to pass CWB certification tests
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to pay strong attention to detail
• Possesses a “take charge attitude”

Work Location: In perso

• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Perform basic cutting and flat and vertical welding of mild steel and aluminum components
• Perform basic shop operations; loads and unloads materials, assists with equipment and shop maintenance
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Follow and enforce all safety measures
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Most work will be in our main fabrication facility, may be deployed to job sites as required
