OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a focus on quality and precision. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of durability and performance. The Fabricator/Welder will work with a variety of materials and tools, contributing to the successful completion of projects in a fast-paced heavy equipment sales, rentals, and repair environment.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately reading and understanding detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper weld placement and dimensions.
  • Cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal components to prepare them for welding, including ensuring proper fit and alignment.
  • Skilled operation of various welding machines like arc welding, MIG welding, and others, adjusting parameters based on the metal type and weld requirements.
  • Executing high-quality welds on thick metal sections, including fillet welds, butt welds, and corner welds, while maintaining proper penetration and bead appearance.
  • Visual inspection on welds for defects like cracks or improper penetration for quality control.
  • Regularly cleaning and performing basic maintenance on welding machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhering to strict safety procedures including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, welding helmet, and protective clothing.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
