SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position’s main task is to fit and weld production parts. Other fabrication and shop duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience welding
· Skilled in layout and fitting with basic measurement tools, according to blueprints
· Strong experience in TIG welding with stainless and aluminum
· Operate basic fabrication machinery such as saw, iron worker, press brake, rollers, etc.
· Ability to read blueprints
· Attention to detail
· Ability to follow verbal directions precisely
· Ability to keep work area clean
· Punctuality and consistent attendance
· Able to work in a team or individually
· Willingness to do any task asked
· Ability to learn new skills quickly and thoroughly and to follow a task through to successful completion
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Regular attendance is required. The employee is required physically to be at the WARDJet facility during their scheduled work hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm) unless otherwise approved by supervisor
· Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
· A valid driver’s license
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Able to stand for long periods of time
· Sufficient mobility to perform job successfully
· Able and willing to comply with all company safety rules and regulations
· Able and willing to work overtime with little to no forewarning
· Able to run an overhead crane and forklift
· Must have and bring to work his/her own safety shoes, and welding helmet

· MIG/TIG weld production parts of various materials (Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel)
· Layout and fit parts to blueprints
· Fabricate to print using saws, iron workers, etc.
· Use conventional machining equipment (lathe, drill press, Bridgeport, band saw, etc.)
· Participates in Continuous Improvement Teams
· Follows all Safety and Quality criteria
· Clean up
· Other duties as assigned
