Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter/Fabricator for our client in Newmarket, ON. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MIG and TIG welding, with a strong background in fitting and fabricating. Prior experience working on the welding and fabrication of vocational vehicles (e.g., trucks, utility vehicles, trailers) is a significant asset.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding.
  • Strong skills in fitting, fabricating, and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Prior experience in welding and fabrication for vocational vehicles is an asset.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Welding certifications (CWB or equivalent) are an asset.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals, including aluminum and steel.
  • Fit and fabricate parts based on technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Inspect and measure materials to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Work on the welding and fabrication of vocational vehicles, including custom modifications and repairs.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry standards.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to meet customer requirements.
