• Supporting and actively participating in safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors and objectives at all times in support of Rock-Tech’s Health and Safety Policy/Program and best practices.
• Practice good housekeeping methods by keeping work area clean and clear of obstructions.
• Perform safety inspection of equipment (assets) and related accessories.
• Insuring to Keep shop equipment & tools in good & safe operating condition.
• Identify and safely handle various raw materials using overhead cranes and/or forklifts as required to load parts into the Brake Press, Bandsaw or plasma cutting table and unloading of trucks.
• Cut metal structural parts, as required, on a bandsaw in conformance to Blueprint specifications
• Thread pipe as required using pipe threader,
• Bevel & chamfer plates using handheld beveler
• Operate the plasma table to cut parts from sheets of metal according to the specifications given.
• Operate CNC Brake Press to bend parts according to blueprint specifications.
• Use various precision-measuring instruments.
• Repairs, gauge/grind, make repairs to weldments during the rebuilding process in accordance with evaluation reports.
• Fitting & welding of materials up to 3/8” thick
• Actively participate in continuous improvements initiatives (input/feedback/suggestion and recommendation)
• Provide feedback to welding supervisor with recommendation and corrective actions
