As POW Engineering continues to grow, we need to add talent to our base of outstanding professionals. We are always accepting resumes throughout the year and will find a spot for the right candidate, however sometimes we are actively seeking candidates to fill specific roles. We have in-house structural, mechanical, welding, controls, and civil engineering disciplines. We also have in house welding, machining, and fabrication. We will look to puzzle in the right candidates or fill positions whether it is full time, or a co-op.

WELDER/FITTER

Job Purpose: Pow Specialty is looking for driven individuals whose primary responsibility are welding and fitting. These team-first people will want a career in a fast-paced environment with a company involved in multiple industries. You will have a thirst for knowledge and will be flexible. Personality and drive will be valued above experience, but experience is an asset. We are willing to train! You will have the opportunity to learn how to operate equipment outside of the conventional welder/fitter position if desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 2 years or more of welding/fitting experience desired but not necessary.
  2. Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications.
  3. CWB certification or ability to be CWB certified required.
  4. Hard working and self-motivated.
  5. Ability to work individually and part as a team.
  6. Experience in using electrical and manual tools.
  7. Safe work habits.
  8. Deftness and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.

Responsibilities
  1. Read, interpret blueprints
  2. Perform welding based on project needs
  3. Debur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
  4. Work with engineers and technicians to produce high quality products.
