Description The Welder/Fitter is a skilled, hands-on role responsible for fitting, welding, and assembling metal components in accordance with detailed blueprints and project specifications. This position requires precision craftsmanship, strong blueprint reading skill, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. The Welder/Fitter works collaboratively with team members to meet production goals, maintain equipment, and ensure all work meets company quality standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities: · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. · Perform welding operations using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.). · Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. · Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards. · Maintain and repair welding equipment as needed. · Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. · Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications. · Other job duties as assigned. Requirements · Certification in welding from a recognized institution preferred. · Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in a similar role. · Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment. · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. · Strong attention to detail and quality. · Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. · Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. · Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel throughout the shift · Ability to lift up to 50# unassisted
