WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • A steady schedule of no less than 40 hours per week, ensuring consistency and stability.
  • Flexibility to choose between day or afternoon shifts—find the rhythm that fits your lifestyle.
  • A role that combines craftsmanship, problem-solving, and teamwork, keeping your day engaging and rewarding.
If you’re looking for more than “just a job” and want to build a career where your work truly matters, this is your chance to step up, weld strong, and fit your future into something bigger.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Build, Weld, Create!
This is your chance to join a dynamic production team where craftsmanship, precision, and pride of work come together every day. As a Welder/Fitter, you’ll be right at the heart of operations; translating technical drawings into finished products, working with a variety of welding processes, and ensuring that every piece leaving your station reflects exceptional quality.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Organizing and executing daily welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring your projects are set up and ready to roll.
  • Performing hands-on welding using a range of techniques, primarily with steel, to assemble and build to spec.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, measurements, and weld symbols to create accurate, high-quality assemblies.
  • Using jigs, fixtures, and guides to achieve precise fits and strong, reliable welds.
  • Monitoring weld quality throughout the process, spotting potential issues before they become problems.
  • Playing an active role in quality checks and inspections, partnering with QA and leadership to resolve challenges and continuously improve.
  • Keeping your work area and equipment in top condition, while following safety-first practices at all times.
  • Taking part in training and certifications that sharpen your skills and keep you on the cutting edge of the trade.

This isn’t just welding…it’s contributing to a team where every part, every project, and every shift adds up to something bigger. You’ll enjoy steady hours, opportunities to hone your skills, and the satisfaction of seeing your craftsmanship come to life in the finished product.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of hands-on welding and fitting experience, ideally in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Solid knowledge of technical drawings, welding processes, and measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with processes like GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW; exposure to robotic or automated welding is a plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset—analytical, adaptable, and solution-driven when challenges arise.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills—able to collaborate while also taking ownership of your craft.
  • Relevant trade certifications (or willingness to obtain/maintain them).
  • A balance of humility, drive, and people-smarts that make you a valued team player.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CWB 47.1 certification would be required, and your 47.2 certification is your advantage (but not a deal breaker)
  • Strong background in precision fitting and fabrication, with hands-on expertise using a variety of tools, equipment, and technical processes.
  • Solid ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, including weld symbols, blueprints, and detailed measurements.
  • Proficiency in multiple welding methods such as MIG, flux-core, or TIG.
  • Exposure to robotic or automated welding systems is considered a valuable asset.

EDUCATION:

A high school diploma, trade school, or technical training in welding/fabrication is preferred, combined with on-the-job experience that proves your skill set in action.
