JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding techniques.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Must have NVQ Level 3, CSCS Card, IPAF and clean drivers licence.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.
  • Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
