We are seeking highly skilled Structural Steel Fitters/Welders, including both Apprentices and Journeypersons, to join our fabrication teams at our Edmonton (night shift) and Nisku (night shifts) locations.

  • Night Shift Hours: 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday to Thursday

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Lay out, prepare, and assemble structural steel components for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Operate metalworking machines and use cutting torches to cut steel, drill or punch holes, and roll, bend, or press steel into required shapes
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units and sub-units
  • Fasten components together using mechanical means or tack weld in preparation for final welding
  • Select and transport materials to the work area manually or with an overhead crane
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using MCAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes
  • Follow and maintain safe work procedures at all times
