    We are seeking highly skilled Structural Steel Fitters/ Welders to join our fabrication teams in both our Edmonton and Nisku locations on the day shift & night shift. The hours of work are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday for day-shift and 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday to Thursday on the night shift.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Lay out, prepare and assemble structural steel components for commercial, institutional and industrial steel erection projects
  • Operate metalworking machines and use cutting torches to cut steel, drill or punch holes, roll, bend or press steel into a desired shape
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units and sub-units
  • Fasten components together by mechanical means or tack weld in preparation for a welder to complete the process
  • Select and transport material to work area manually or using overhead crane
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to ruse metal segments using MCAW, FCAW, and SMAW
  • Follow safe working procedures
