Position Summary:
The Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality stick welding on various materials for construction and fabrication projects. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform stick welding on steel and other metals according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Prepare, assemble, and tack-weld parts before final welding.
Inspect and ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow all workplace safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in stick welding (SMAW).
Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures.
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
Trade certification or welding tickets are an asset but not required.
