KLN Cold Chain are recruiting for an experienced Welder. This role will work with management to ensure all company trailer, vehicles are road worthy and safe. The Welder will be compliant with workplace and legislative obligations whilst contributing to the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles

The key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

• Fabricate, construct and weld metal components for trailers, shipping containers, vehicles
• Assemble and weld metal components using various welding techniques
• Understand engineering blueprints and design plans to fabricate and weld trailers, shipping containers, vehicles
• Perform quality checks and inspections on completed trailers, shipping containers and vehicles (if required)
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers, shipping containers and any other metal components
• Ordering metal stock and other metal components
• Collaborate with other team members – welders, metal fabricators, supervisors
• Ensure all fabrication and welding are of a high standard
• Follow safety regulations

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Driver’s License
• Certificate III in Welding or similar trade qualification
• Experience in similar working environment for at least 5 years

· Strong technical skills and able to interpret engineering blueprints
