Description Midwest Valve Services, LLC, a Novaspect company, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team. As a Welder at Midwest Valve Services, you will play a key role in supporting our valve service operations through precision welding, fabrication, and field service work. Welder Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding equipment Follow established welding procedures and safety protocols Perform welds in compliance with ASME Section IX standards Apply hard-facing alloys to valve components as specified Operate automated rotary welding equipment for internal and external surfaces Design and fabricate custom welding fixtures and jigs to support production needs Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions Perform field service work at customer facilities Maintain a clean and organized work environment Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures Support valve repair operations and assist with related tasks as needed Work flexible hours, including extended shifts and weekends, based on project demands Drive company vehicle to job sites as required Requirements Welder Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in basic math and computer skills 2+ years of experience in MIG, TIG, & STICK welding techniques Strong verbal and written communication abilities Familiarity with hard-facing alloys and their proper application techniques Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and shop drawings Understanding of electrical safety and theory relevant to welding operations Experience in industrial valve and pump repair Skilled in performing welds on test coupons in accordance with established procedures to meet specified welding code requirements Capable of conducting post-weld heat treatment and stress relieving processes to ensure structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards Welder Additional Requirements: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Willingness to take direction, show initiative, and follow tasks through to completion Commitment to continuous learning and skill development for future advancement Willingness to cross-train in related duties, including valve service operations Ability to work on-site at customer facilities as needed Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under company insurance Ability to work overtime as needed Welder Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects/tools Ability to work with hand tools Ability to work at heights Ability to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on equipment on hands and knees Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day Ability to work in a loud industrial environment Comfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving parts Ability to climb stairs with up to 20lbs Ability to climb a 20ft. ladder Ability to drive on average 3-4 hours at a time Ability to drive 8 hours as needed in a day – although not typical Ability to work in high and cold temperature environments for extended hours Ability to have a face free from hair on occasions when needing to wear a respirator or per customer requirements when onsite Welder Pay: Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $35.00 Overtime Eligible The final offer will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in the position.
