Welders are an asset to the team. They are responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. They produce metal products accounting to customer or employee specifications.

About the Role

  • Lay out, fit, and fabricate sheet metal and plate components to assemble finished product
  • Ensure that all welds are complete and of good quality as per specifications
  • Reading and interpreting job order for special instructions
  • Use of tools such as angle grinders, calipers, rulers etc.
  • Assist and mentor other welders when needed
  • Wearing proper protective equipment, as directed by equipment or process
  • Understanding safety requirements and ensuring proper care and maintenance of all welding equipment and supplies
  • Safe operation of crane operation and rigging techniques

Employment Qualifications

  • Attention to detail is a must. The finished product must consistently meet high quality standards as required by all clients.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints required.
  • Ensure a commitment to ISO standards of excellence and the concept of accountability through completion of department goals and objectives
  • Must be safety focused, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well within all levels of a fast-paced organization while maintaining quality production
  • Must be able follow written and oral instructions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility are key in a changing work environment. Demands may change frequently, or there may be delays or unexpected occurrences

Education/Experience

EXPERIENCE IN MIG OR TIG WELDING PREFERRED.
