Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
Vacancy Details
In the Welder position, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality structural steelwork, applying your expertise and commitment to safety in a busy, dynamic environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in structural steelwork fabrication.
  • Skilled in working to recognised fabrication standards with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Experience in operating heating equipment and overhead cranes safely and effectively.
  • Relevant welding qualifications or coding’s in welding (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)

Responsibilities
  • Planning welding sequences and delivering high-quality MIG Welds, single and multi-run fillet welds, as well as partial and full penetration butt welds.
  • Reading and interpreting welding procedure data sheets and specifications.
  • Inspecting and identifying welds using operator ID codes and carrying out repairs when required, all while meeting tight production deadlines.
  • Using pre- and post-heating equipment safely and efficiently.
