Position Overview: Capitol Wholesale is seeking a hands-on, experienced Welding Supervisor to lead daily operations in our welding and fabrication department. This role is ideal for a transformational leader with a background in make-to-order and engineer-to-order manufacturing environments. The Welding Supervisor is a hands on welding position and will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a collaborative and engaged team culture by working side by side the team. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development Supervise and mentor welders and fabrication staff. Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Support employee growth through training, skill development, and performance-based feedback. Production & Scheduling Plan and schedule welding production to meet delivery timelines. Collaborate with purchasing to ensure material availability. Communicate production issues and delays to internal teams and branches. Quality & Safety Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards. Implement corrective actions from customer feedback and quality audits. Maintain high standards in welding quality and consistency. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Drive lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Engage the team in problem-solving and process optimization. Monitor plant metrics and adjust workflows to enhance performance. Technical Oversight Evaluate and schedule both stock and custom gate orders. Ensure equipment reliability through preventative maintenance planning Qualifications: 3+ years of welding experience Proven experience in welding supervision or manufacturing leadership. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules. Excellent communication and team-building skills. Why Work with Us?
