OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated Welder Helper to join our team.
In this role, you will support experienced welders and fabricators with a variety of welding and fabrication tasks in our manufacturing shop. Responsibilities include assisting with welding projects, preparing and finishing materials, painting, sandblasting, and performing other duties as needed to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of welding techniques, follows strict safety protocols, and works well as part of a team. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with a variety of welding processes
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining processes (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements

Responsibilities
  • Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support welding operations.
  • Paint
  • Sandblast
  • Help with the setup and operation of welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding machines.
  • Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements.
  • Support the assembly of components
  • Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in lifting heavy materials
  • Assist in moving heavy materials with forklifts, telehandlers and skid steers as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the job site.
