Description

Description Performs general welding, which includes, tig, plasma arc, tack welds. Some in-process inspection is required. Be familiar with welding exotic metals including but not limited to, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel. Be familiar with all tools required for setup, inspection and welding of various fixtures and work in process. Must be experienced at plasma arc and tig welding as required Maintain scrap and rework to within acceptable minimums Read and interpret blueprints and MOS specifications Read, interpret and execute work instructions Follow all company policies including safety instructions Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and welding operations. High school diploma, GED Teamwork Orientation. Time Management. Responsibilities
