JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. Welder will be responsible for fabricating items of various sizes based on engineering drawings.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• CWB Certified (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW).
• 5-10 years’ welding experience MIG, TIG & stick
• Basic knowledge in using shears, brakes and other shop equipment
• Autocad experience an asset
• Welding experience in carbon steel- stainless and aluminum
• Able to work with limited supervision as well as in a team environment

• Three major types of welding: MIG, TIG and Arc
• Check for quality before, during and after welding
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions according to CWB
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings to
• determine operational methods or sequences
• Develop templates and models for welding projects, using mathematical
• calculations based on blueprint information
• MIG and TIG welding to food grade standards
