SUMMARY

We are hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Welders for Evening Shift. Reporting to the Lead Hand, the Journeyman and Apprentice Welders will work on executing fabrication projects in accordance with the welding procedures, working with other employees as part of a team, and being prompt and on time daily for work. The individual will be a Journeyman who has a continual focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. You must also have experience producing quality work with attention to detail in order to meet and exceed customer’s needs.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of Enerflex’s SE Calgary facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Alberta Journeymen Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal in Welding or be registered with the Alberta Apprentice Program.
  • Experience in a heavy structural steel welding and fabrication environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with SMAW/FCAW/MCAW/GMAW welding is essential, other welding experience is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime or shift work as required.
  • Results oriented and a team player.

Responsibilities
  • Fitting and welding of large structural steel using SMAW/FCAW welding techniques.
  • Clamping and structural support of pipe systems.
  • Ability to use welding and fabrication tools such as torches, arc gouging equipment, drills, measuring tools, etc.
  • Ability to read and use blueprints on a daily basis.
  • Follow work instructions and participating in, accepting, and adopting the safety principles.
