We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manager within our Welding Department, based at our busy Head Office site in Inverness.
The successful candidate should ideally have knowledge of welding products combined with the skills to drive sales performance, manage, and develop a team. This role would particularly suit someone with previous supervisory or sales management experience within a technical or trade-related environment.
The position is varied and fast-paced, involving customer service, ordering welding and fabrication sundries/equipment, and arranging the repair and calibration of customer equipment. In addition, you will be expected to develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers, proactively identify sales opportunities, and contribute to business growth targets by promoting our product range and services. Attendance at trade shows and regular liaison with supplier representatives will also form part of your duties.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively both as part of a team and on their own initiative. Excellent communication skills, sound organisational ability, and the capacity to prioritise and manage workload are essential. Basic IT skills are also required.
As part of the role, you will be responsible for ensuring manual handling guidelines are followed when moving heavy items, while also leading by example to achieve sales goals and supporting your team to meet individual and departmental sales targets.
This is a 5-days-per-week position, including working rotational Saturdays.
