· Ability to operate machinery is beneficial but not essential

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our welding team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining safety protocols. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and train team members effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in welding supervision or a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in TIG welding, stick welding, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and other welding equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
• Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.

DUTIES

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the welding team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Oversee welding operations, including TIG welding, stick welding, and fabrication of sheet metal components.
• Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Provide training and guidance on the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop effective assembly processes.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare reports on production metrics, quality control, and team performance.
