We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication of metal components and assemblies, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Time-served Welder or Fabricator (using MIG or TIG), with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication / Welding or equivalent and proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Demonstrated experience with variety of metals including stainless steel and aluminium.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills to support collaboration within production

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Welder / Fabricator at Impress Group, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing components with the utmost precision. You will work with a variety of metals, including stainless steel and aluminium to produce high-quality welded and fabricated components. The role requires close collaboration with our production and engineering teams to ensure products meet stringent specifications and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metals
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate components accurately
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain optimal workflows and meet project deadlines
• Working with various sections, plate, laser cut and machined components 1-30+ mm thick
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure all work meets industry and company standards
• Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment
