SKILLS

  • Print reading
  • Interpreting codes and specifications
  • Report writing
  • Inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications (example: AWS D1.1)
  • Documenting defects
  • Reviewing WPS & PQR
  • Communicate effectively through documentation
  • Track and monitor work to ensure compliance with various codes and standards
  • Communicate with Clients and Project Managers effectively and in a timely manner
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)

We’re looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of welding and steel construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The ability and desire to expand your knowledge and skills into testing and inspection of additional materials is desired.
The Special Inspector will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client’s project goals.
