PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME (BASED ON SCHOOL SCHEDULE) Are you currently enrolled in a Career-Tech, Vocational Welding Program or High School with an interest in welding? Looking to gain real-world shop experience while still in school? EZG Manufacturing is hiring a Welding Intern to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply what you’re learning in class in a professional production environment. PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this Welding Internship is to provide hands-on experience in fabricating and assembling metal structures and components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will support production operations by applying foundational welding techniques, maintaining a strong attention to detail, and adhering to quality and safety standards. This role is designed to develop technical proficiency, enhance problem-solving skills, and foster effective collaboration with team members to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality metal fabrication processes.   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform various welding tasks, including MIG welding, according to the project specifications.  * Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding processes.  * Operate welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner  * Measure and cut materials to precise specifications, ensuring accuracy in assembly.  * Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines as needed to maintain good production and quality.  * Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet high standards.   * Other duties or special projects as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS: * Currently enrolled in high school with an interest in welding. * Strong academic performance in  * Demonstrated interest in welding through coursework, technical classes, shop courses, or hands-on projects. * Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure  * Strong attention to detail and quality  * Willingness to learn welding concepts, tools, and processes in a professional environment. * Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work safely under supervision. * Reliable, punctual, and able to demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic. * Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. * Comfort using basic hand tools, measuring tools, or computer software (training provided as needed). * Ability to maintain focus, stay engaged with assigned tasks, and demonstrate initiative. * Commitment to following all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
