Sasol invests in its employees along every stage of the career path and offers development opportunities to help you cultivate your career in a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion.   Job Req ID 9779   Closing date 30 September 2025   OMERegional Ops & Asset Services     Geographical areaSecunda   Purpose of Job To provide welding and fabrication coordination by organising resources in the delivering quality control, quality assurance, fabrication, welding, heat treatment and the use of service providers.   Key Accountabilities Monitor on site on RWS, compiling a bill of material and planning; Approve ,scope and plan all notification, ensure execution of each Permit system 100% compliance: Keep to -3% budgets for the NDT conducted and hired labour and heat treatment; Minimize budget of welding consumables and materials(store) to be ordered; Ensure that work standards are met according to quality standards & compliance; Coordination with the field subcontractors for all welding procedures specifications and procedures qualification reports; Elaborating and coordinating the welding specifications , and codes/standards; Review course and effects of welding defects and take remedial actions; Coordination with the third party NDT inspection company; Review of the radiographic films and all NDT reports on a daily basis; Reviewing the inspection and testing methods and procedures for inspections; Monitor any post weld heat treatment on site/shop & review the completed chart; Coordinating all relevant documents for the RWS for the job to proceed (approved ABC stamped drawings ,heat treatment procedures, approved WPS ,qualified welder ,BOM for materials to be used; Make sure that all welds are quality engineering welds according to codes requirements; Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution; Communicate and behave professionally so that actions result in high level of credibility, trust and respect; Develop effective manager and peer working relationships in other departments; Ensure that work and projects (RWS) plans meets the technical and professional objectives; Take ownership for personal improvement and skills development; Ensure that personal development plan is completed, implemented and tracked; Apply the learning experience at the workplace; Agree and review personal performance goals and the achievement thereof; Set and work towards own performance targets and goals as per personal performance agreement; Update performance goals and performance agreement regularly; Review compliance and follow up against the standards and objectives; Manage own work planning and delivery according to targets; Adheres to standard procedures and practices with guidance.   Fomal Education   High School / School Diploma or Similar Welding related trade with 2 years experience as Artisan. National Senior Certificate with English, Math’s & Physical Science SG/HG or N3 equivalent to Grade 12 SAIW Level 2 Inspection or SAIW Level 2 supervisors ASME codes (Wish) In total a minimum of 24 months as a Welding Specialist / Quality Specialist   Working Experience   Minimum of 05 years of experience   KEY COMPETENCIES Leadership: People Leadership: Engages inclusively, builds team capacity, and leverages diversity.
