As a valuable member of our production team, your primary role will involve welding the diverse components required for assembling our guards and bumpers.
Position: Welding Technician
Location: Winnipeg, MB - 2168 Springfield Road
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Evening Shift
Starting Wage: $20+ per hour, depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in welding is required; we can provide aluminum-specific training
  • Previous experience with fitting and using bandsaws is an asset.
  • The ability to work alone in a welding bay
  • Ability to use a metric tape measure
  • This role requires long periods of standing and the requirement to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Successfully completing a welding test (if selected for an interview)
  • Must own a welding helmet and safety boots
  • Reliable transportation, as HERD is not accessible via public transportation routes
    Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm - 11:30pm

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate various welding equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
  • Conduct post-weld inspections
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
