Key Responsibilities:
Welding and Fabrication:
Joining metal pieces using various welding techniques (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW), and fabricating metal structures according to specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Reading and understanding technical drawings, blueprints, and welding process specifications.
Equipment Operation:
Operating welding machines, cutting equipment, and other metalworking tools.
Quality Control:
Inspecting welds for defects and ensuring they meet required standards.
Maintenance and Repair:
Maintaining welding equipment, performing minor repairs, and assisting with troubleshooting.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures related to welding and metalworking.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in various welding processes, knowledge of metal properties, and experience with welding equipment.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand welding symbols.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in welding and fabrication.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
Problem-Solving: Diagnosing issues and finding solutions during welding and fabrication processes.
