Description

The Cross Cultural Learner Centre is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary, Wellbeing Counsellor to join our team. This is a contract position that ends January 31, 2023.

As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you’ll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.

EDUCATION:

The minimum level of education required is a bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or any medical related fields. A current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or currently registered in good standing as a Psychologist in Ontario is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one year of work experience including student placement in mental health services working with adults, children, youth & seniors and working in partnerships with other health and community agencies. Experience working with high needs newcomer families or individuals is an asset.

Responsibilities

· Maintain complete, up-to-date, and accurate case notes and documentation in IRCC and CCLC approved systems in compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
· Submit timely reports, tracking tools, and updates to supervisors and program managers as required.
· Participate in internal case conferences, inter-agency meetings, and collaborative service planning to ensure integrated, coordinated support for clients.
· Engage in ongoing professional development, including IRCC and CCLC mandated training, team meetings, and workshops.
· Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with IRCC, organizational, and partner policies, protocols, and reporting standards.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of the case management model through reflection, feedback, and data-informed practices.
· Perform additional related duties as assigned to support high-quality service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
