Full Time: Full-time
Location: Burnaby campus with some travel required to other campuses including Aerospace Campus, Annacis Island Campus, BCIT Marine Campus, Downtown campus

SUMMARY

The Wellbeing Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Wellbeing Department. They guide a high-impact team that delivers food security initiatives, provides one-on-one resource support, and organizes events focused on proactively addressing student wellbeing across BCIT campuses. Working from an inclusive lens, the Wellbeing Manager drives BCITSA’s equity, diversity and inclusion values and incorporates these values into their work, their team’s work and professional relationships. This position is also responsible for driving usage of the Student Health Insurance Plan.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in a relevant field such as psychology, health promotion, social work
  • Skilled in team management, operational planning, financial oversight, and internal communications
  • 5–7 years management experience in a similar or related field such as student services, non-profit or health promotion
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced student-focused environment
  • Grant writing and fundraising experience
  • Prior experience manager food security programs

KNOWELDGE & ABILITIES

  • Understanding of student development theory, post-secondary student wellness needs and best practices
  • Working knowledge of sponsorship and fundraising strategies
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of Food Security within a post-secondary context
  • Able to lift up to 11kg (25lbs), stand, carry, bend, crouch

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid BC drivers license
  • Food Safe certificate
  • Local travel to BCIT specialty campuses and community partner locations required
