WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the successful Wellbeing Specialist, you will have strong knowledge of health and wellness principles and practices. You will also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health, wellbeing, or a related field (for example, but not limited to; psychology, counselling, education, or social work)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing wellness programs
  • Demonstrated experience working within the parameters of your qualifications and competency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Understanding of contemporary health and wellbeing issues relation to high performance sport
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships
Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Wellbeing Specialist to join the Events & Operations department. You will be responsible for the implementation, delivery and ongoing maintenance of best-practice wellbeing programs for all contracted Umpires and Match Referees.
In this role you’ll use your experience to provide appropriate first response to Match Officials, who present with professional and personal issues, within the parameters of your qualifications and competency.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic support in the development, implementation and delivery of the Match Official Engagement and Well-being framework
  • Support the on-boarding and off-boarding of Match Officials to provide for a great experience, including life beyond the cricket pitch
  • Construct Individual plans as required for Umpires and Match Referees to assist their well-being growth and support their mental health needs
  • Gather and analyse Match Official group wellbeing data to identify trends and areas of concern, and develop targeted wellbeing initiatives
  • Consult and collaborate with CA’s Senior WHS Lead and the Match Officials Manager to create policies and practices that encourage healthy behaviours targeted specifically for Match Officials
