Responsibilities The Whitley County Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a memorable impression on new and current members. * Connect: Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff. * Support: Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergency situations. * Motivate: Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals. Requirements Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: * Be at least 15 years old. * Have reliable transportation to and from work * Previous fitness certification and experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with wellness equipment is preferred. * Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences. Salary: Part-time $11.85-$12.35 hourly Hours Available: Friday 12:00pm-5:00pm Location: Whitley County Family YMCA, 950 E. Van Buren Street, Columbia City, IN 46725

Responsibilities

The Wellness Center Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and connecting with them regarding their wellness goals. This includes ensuring the safety of members using the facilities and orienting them with fitness equipment.
