The Wellness Associate is our patient-facing position at the dispensary. They are responsible for accurately and compliantly dispensing medical cannabis to patients within the Medical Cannabis program. This position involves cash handling, POS operation, inventory management, order fulfillment, and front desk duties. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented team environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Ask relevant questions to determine the best medicine for the patients' concerns. Answers questions and provides general information and guidance for patients regarding policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations, communicating with sensitivity and respect. Works closely with management to resolve patient complaints, concerns, and issues. Assist with the overall cleanliness of the facility by cleaning workstations, restocking day storage, and cleaning the interior and exterior of showcases. Assist with daily and weekly inventory reconciliation. Maintain the highest level of patient and company confidentiality at all times. Provide excellent customer service to a wide spectrum of patients in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner. Accurately and efficiently process patient transactions using POS system. Maintain up to date knowledge of all company products. Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with company, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintains accurate inventory control and proper rotation. Performs other duties as assigned. Pre-Employment Requirements: All candidates selected for employment will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to their start date. Employment is contingent upon passing these screenings. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum Experience: A minimum of 1 year of retail experience preferred. Prior POS experience preferred; Ability to learn POS system is required. Knowledge / Skills: Cannabis knowledge preferred, but not required. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills. Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. Ability to recommend products to patients. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of walking and standing. Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds at times. Ability to work a variety of shifts to include days, nights and weekends.
