JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager to join our growing team. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our Spa Manager, ensuring seamless daily operations, and delivering an outstanding guest journey from start to finish. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and help shape the future of wellness at Darts Farm.
Our newly refurbished Wellness Spa consists of 5 treatment rooms, steam room, infrared sauna & relaxation room, laser & microneedling room, along with 2 pedicure stations & 2 manicure stations. A sanctuary of calm, connection, and rejuvenation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of as an assistant manager.
  • Experience in a 4/5-star Spa.
  • Exceptional customer care.
  • Proven leadership/management experience, with the ability to inspire & mentor a skilled team.
  • Ability to work effectively in all areas of the spa, including hands on treatments.
  • Excellent communicator & team player.
  • Effective at prioritising and being pro-active
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Level 4 Laser qualification highly desirable.
  • Experience with laser/HIFU treatments preferred but not essential.
  • Elemis trained preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with Spa Booking system – Shortcuts or similar.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, , including weekends
  • Previous experience as a hand on Spa Therapist with a strong passion for the wellness & beauty industry.
Responsibilities
  • Delivering an exceptional client journey, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience, leaving them wanting to return and secure future bookings.
  • Training: Assist with staff training and development, fostering a positive and motivated team culture. Enhance the skills & knowledge of the team to deliver treatments of the highest standard, always ensuring you are up to date with the latest trends & techniques.
  • Assist in the design, training, and implementation of new treatment packages focusing on wellness.
  • Perform treatments as required
  • Team work:
  • Work with our in-house marketing team to help to continually develop our loyal local client base.
  • Engage and work with the entirety of Darts Farm to incorporate the same wellness philosophy throughout (such as participating in in-store events, workshops & spa packages).
  • Communicate with Darts Farm Director in charge & Management team where appropriate
  • Stock control: Oversee control processes to maintain optimal levels of stock, ensuring seamless operations and timely replenishment. Monthly stock takes, stock ordering, input of invoices and ensuring GPs are achieved.
  • Oversee booking systems and compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Revenue responsibility: Achieving treatment revenue targets by implementing effective strategies and maximising sales opportunities while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Keen focus on retail targets, product knowledge training and refreshers delivered to the team and lead by example by achieving personal targets.
  • Support our Spa Manager in all aspects of spa operations, including team leadership, scheduling, and guest service to deliver world-class experiences
  • Assist in interviews and trade tests for new employees.
