RNIB works to remove the barriers faced by blind and partially slighted people in everyday life.
As our Welsh Language Officer you will support, review and develop the implementation of RNIB’s Welsh Language Scheme across the organisation to ensure that we meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people and stakeholders in Wales.
You will be part of the ambitious, creative and dynamic Social Change team in Wales and work across the organisation. We’ve had a lot of success and are looking for the right person to join our team, sharing in our ambition to make a world that works better for blind and partially sighted people.
The role is home based with travel to our Cardiff office when required.

Responsibilities

You will lead the delivery of RNIB’s Welsh Language Scheme to ensure that all relevant aspects of our work are provided effectively to our target audiences and stakeholders.
You will act as a central point of contact within RNIB, providing advice, information, and expertise on our Welsh language commitments, raising awareness of the importance and impact of this work as well as and supporting teams across the organisation to deliver the Welsh Language Scheme.
You will link with key external stakeholders including the Welsh Language Commissioner’s office, NHS Cymru and Welsh Government to ensure that RNIB is involved and influencing policies and opportunities releating to the Welsh language.
