Si-Lwli is based in the bustling village of Whitchurch, Cardiff, and was awarded Nursery of the Year in Wales 2018. We are proud to be a fully Welsh speaking day nursery, celebrating the Welsh language and culture.
We are an immersive Welsh language day nursery, sensitive to the linguistic needs of our families. We provide a homely, friendly and supportive environment when meeting the holistic needs of the boys and girls in our nursery. Good communication between staff and families is vital for the building of strong personal relationships.
We believe all children have the right to play freely exploring and investigating both indoors and out. We support children to recognise the importance of healthy living.
We work hard to nurture each child’s individual needs, we follow the children’s interests at all times, meaning no day is ever the same. We employ staff who are experienced and passionate, using their knowledge and ambition to inspire the children that anything is possible….
Our values are to look after ourselves, look after our friends and look after our nursery. We aim to encourage these values with all the children. We spend as much time as possible outside, come rain, shine, snow, and especially mud.

EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR / PRACTITIONER

We are looking for a fluent Welsh speaker and inspiring individual to join our team. You will have zest for life, and a passion for promoting the Welsh Language and culture.
Your days will be fun, messy, indoors, outdoors, quiet, creative, explorative, child-led and free, but never the same. The early years are a magical time and we want people in our team to harness every child’s individual sparkle.

• Responsible for the delivery of our ‘learning through play’ educational ethos through the Curriculum for Wales.
• Responsible for working alongside the growing team of dynamic early years practitioners.
• Enjoys planning their own play sessions.
• Being innovative with activities and constantly challenging your children’s learning and development in the moment.
• To be a key worker for a number of children and their families and carrying out all related responsibilities.
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with parents
• Promoting child welfare and ensure Meithrinfa Si-Lwli’s safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
