POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re seeking a dynamic Salesperson to grow sales of our custom automated brazing and soldering systems, as well as our proprietary brazing and soldering pastes within the Western U.S. States. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You’ll manage, plan, and direct the selling process related to the sale of pastes, applicators and automatic brazing and soldering systems throughout the Western US market. Establish exceptional customer relations and ensure complete customer satisfaction while driving regional sales income via direct customer interaction. You’ll direct leads and opportunities through the full sales cycle—from prospecting and technical consultation to closing and post-sale support—within your territory. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams to facilitate tailored solutions that meet complex customer needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Field sales experience in the manufacturing industry selling capital equipment.
  • Technical/Mechanical aptitude.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiating skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Display willingness and ability to make sound, accurate decisions.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and work with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to periodically travel to the Corporate HQ in Willoughby, OH.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management tool.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Business or Engineering Degree.
  • Experience with various brazing and soldering metal-joining processes.
  • Experience selling filler metals, paste alloys, and applicator equipment for brazing.
  • Professional training and education in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain exceptional customer relations through sales and service. Respond to sales leads and provide follow-up. Work with new or established accounts to develop the full market potential.
  • Support Manufacturers Representatives and Regional Distributors with product knowledge, effective customer service and relations, contacting key prospects, and closing sales.
  • Provide technical, problem-solving, and value-added selling. Negotiate process and terms to drive business development.
  • Represent Fusion during contract and sales negotiations. Estimate and generate quotations ensuring all forms documents and data are completed.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories. Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Establish solid customer relations and maintain home office contact with key customers. Visit key customers with appropriate frequency to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
  • Provide expertise in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Services, Customer Service, and other areas to troubleshoot to improve product and process issues.
  • Participate in trade shows, meetings, projects, and other activities. Facilitate presentations as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Commit to following established procedures and guidelines as required by ISO 9001:2015 standards. Follow established procedures and seek opportunities for continuous process improvement.
