Description

We are a small family GP practice in Chiswick, of about 4000 patient list size, looking for a part time receptionist to help cover our shifts.
The shift will be Monday to Friday 08.00 - 12.00.
There will be an expectation for some flexibility to cover other hours where needed.

The applicant ideally needs to be from a GP surgery background as a receptionist for at least ONE year or administrator, and able to multi task as they will be required to:

  • open up the surgery
  • answer phones and deal with patient queries
  • do the referrals and send email referrals or documents using outlook
  • Issue prescriptions
  • deal with patient emails
  • scanning and attaching using docman
  • Patient registrations and deductions
  • Open post and disseminate appropriately
  • book appointments using our template system
  • stock up rooms on a rota basis
  • work independently and multi task

Preference will be given to someone who has systm one experience but training can be provided.
Good IT Skills are a requirement to work the clinical system as well as Word and Excel.
There is no parking on site so it would need to be someone local who can take a bus or train in to work. The local tubes are Turnham Green and Chiswick Park on the district line. Buses are very local too.
NHS / NEST pension is offered.
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata offered.
We would like for someone to start as soon as they can. Training will be provided.
