  Based in the Optimisation Team at E3 Shift: Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30 Grade 3 role- up to £450 uniform allowence   The role: As a Workflow Resource Validation & Support Analyst within our Optimisation team, you will be the driving force behind data driven decision making at NDL. Your primary focus is to identify cost saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency by providing senior stakeholders with high level reporting and actionable insights.   You will act as a bridge between raw data and strategic action, ensuring that performance, absence, and error management are not just tracked, but actively managed to hit our business goals.   What you’ll take on: * Strategic Reporting: Compile the weekly Optimisation Pack, delivering a comprehensive view of site performance, absence, holiday usage, long-term sickness, as well as other compliance metrics * Talent Analytics: Evaluate team members during probation and manage agency performance data, providing the insights necessary to decide who should be offered permanent positions within Next. * Process Automation: Champion efficiency by using formulas, queries, or scripts to automate repetitive manual tasks, freeing up time for deeper analysis. * Ad Hoc Insight: Support managers and HR with bespoke data for investigations, talent snapshots, and Oracle report audits to uncover reporting errors and improvement opportunities.  * Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships across all departments, simplifying complex datasets into visual trends that help leaders make informed decisions.    What you’ll bring: * Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is essential. You should have experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL report writing. * Development Skills: Proven ability to use Google Apps Script / JavaScript to automate processes via Gmail and Drive APIs. Basic coding knowledge is essential for building these automated workflows. * Analytical Mindset: You don’t just move numbers around; you critically analyse datasets from various sources to provide recommendations that support senior management.  * Operational Knowledge: A sound understanding of warehouse management policies and people data is highly advantageous.  * Project Management: The ability to work independently, prioritise your own workload, and remain calm while delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.  * Meticulousness: High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality. * Curiosity: A proactive approach to identifying innovation opportunities and a focus on continuous learning in data science. * Collaborative Spirit: A positive, "team-player" attitude with the communication skills needed to influence stakeholders at all levels. * Integrity: A strong work ethic rooted in honesty and a focus on cost-efficiency.
