The Workforce Recruitment & Alumni Manager will develop and maintain relationships with employer partners throughout NJ to support filling key entry-level needs. This role will oversee the Workforce Coordinator to delivery Life Skill curriculum that ensure participants are prepared for navigating social, financial and professional challenges. The role will also oversee relationships with WFD alumni to ensure they maintain professional growth and development. What you’ll do in your role: Develop and maintain relationships with employer partners throughout NJ. Assist partners with filling entry-level positions and continuously build pathways to employment for WFD participants and alumni. Provide NJ industry trends and needs to ensure WFD programming is relevant and meeting the demands of our employer partners. Ensure employer partners are delighted by the work of our graduates through surveys and follow-up meetings. Ensure that placements are in environments where our graduates can be successful and support their continuous growth and development through alumni engagement efforts. Partner with employers to increase awareness and adoption of trauma-informed practices in the workplace, ensuring environments are inclusive and supportive of justice impacted populations. Develop and manage a calendar of activities to promote employment opportunities (e.g. career fairs, professional development sessions etc) to increase visibility and support growth and development of our graduates. Work collaboratively with the WFD team to develop and deliver the Life Skills curriculum. Assist with alumni support and job placement and advancement. Manage recruitment activities ensuring effective participant pipeline is developed Source, screen, and assess candidates to ensure strong alignment between participant skills and our employer partners. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using CRM platforms tracking outreach, engagement, acceptance, attendance and graduation progress. Lead the effort to build relationships with industry associations and workforce boards to expand career pathways for WFD graduates. Regularly report on outcomes (placements, wages, retention, advancement) and create compelling narratives that showcase employer and participant success stories to stakeholders, funders, and the community. What you’ll need to be successful in this role: 5+ year's experience leading workforce development recruitment and placement or human resources talent recruitment management preferred. Ability to translate workforce training practices to assist employer partners with hiring WFD graduates required. Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently required. Goal-oriented and capable of tracking and measuring progress. Possesses strong writing and communication skills required. Ability to coach and mentor others is required. Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills in building, developing, and maintaining relationships in corporate and not-for-profit environments required. Possesses strong customer service skills, working to ensure that employer partners are delighted with the quality of our graduates required. Able to develop and proactively seek input and feedback from employer partners and alumni required. Capable of training others to apply trauma-informed approaches that shift workforce patterns and perceptions of justice impacted populations. The salary range for this position is $77,350--$104,650. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
