REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

• Bachelor of Education
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.
• Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy and Differentiated Instruction practices.
• Effective organizational and classroom management skills is imperative.
• Ability to integrate and use technology in the classroom.
• Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans as well as implement the plan for students.
• A strong ability to build relationships with elementary school students and parents.
• A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Knowledge of Leader In Me and Apple School programs.
• The ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment and in professional learning communities.
• A willingness to participate in school community and extracurricular activities.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Knowledge of anti-bullying strategies is an asset.
• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
