In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to: * Personal Care: Assist with activities such as showering, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, and grooming. * Household Support: Perform tasks like vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing floors, cooking basic meals, and minor gardening. * Social Support: Provide transport, shopping assistance, and support with mobility or therapy services. * Consumer Engagement: Work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and other health professionals to deliver quality care and support consumer independence. What We’re Looking For: * Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or Home and Community). * Experience: Previous experience in direct care services, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled individuals. * Skills: Ability to follow detailed directions, work well in a team, and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. * Attributes: Patience, flexibility, resilience, and a solution-focused approach. Must be dependable, reliable, and respectful toward clients, carers, family members, and colleagues. * Knowledge: Understanding of the Consumer Directed Care model, principles of reablement, Occupational Health and Safety, and Risk Management principles. * Commitment: A strong dedication to customer service and consumer-directed care principles, with a willingness to undertake further training and development.
