The Opportunity We’re looking for a Wholesale Director to lead and grow our national distribution business. This role is built for someone with existing relationships in the wine industry—someone who can walk into a distributor or key account and make things happen. You’ll be responsible for expanding our footprint, strengthening partnerships, and driving revenue across both independent accounts and national chains. This is a leadership role—but it’s also hands-on. You’ll spend time in-market, working with distributor teams, building placements, and representing the brand at the highest level. What You’ll Do Drive Distributor Performance • Manage and grow relationships with distributor partners across all markets • Set clear goals for depletions, placements, and pricing execution • Hold partners accountable while building long-term, productive relationships Expand Markets & Win New Business • Identify and enter new markets aligned with company growth strategy • Open key accounts and develop national account opportunities • Build market-specific strategies that convert to real sales Own Revenue & Execution • Deliver against wholesale revenue and case volume targets • Build and manage budgets tied to growth • Use sales data and insights to guide decisions Be in the Field • Travel regularly to work with distributor reps and key accounts • Lead tastings, market visits, and account development • Represent William Chris with authenticity and professionalism Lead & Develop the Team • Coach and support a growing sales team • Set expectations and drive accountability • Build a culture of ownership, performance, and pride Requirements What We’re Looking For • 5+ years in wine wholesale, supplier sales, or distributor leadership • Existing relationships with distributors, buyers, and/or national accounts • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and expand distribution • Strong understanding of the three-tier system • Comfortable both closing deals and working in the field • Highly motivated, organized, and accountable • Willingness to travel frequently Why Join William Chris • Be part of one of the fastest-growing and most respected wine companies in Texas • Help shape the national presence of Texas wine • Work with a passionate, driven team committed to excellence • Opportunity to make a real impact on a growing business Apply If you’re ready to build, grow, and win with us, we’d love to hear from you.
