The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a WHS management role, solid understanding of WHS legislative and risk management knowledge, experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments, development of and delivery of specific training modules and hands on approach to working with small teams. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate an ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.

We have an opportunity for an experienced WHS Manager to join a supportive team at our category leading Mushroom farm, based in Perth, WA.
Reporting to the National WHS & Risk Manager, this hands-on role is focused upon effectively coordinating and managing the area of occupational health and safety to drive improvements and to ensure the organisation complies with relevant legislation; standards; codes of practice; customer requirements and implements effective systems and practices.
The role will involve and not be limited to effectively analysing processes in order to reduce risk and minimise exposure to the business, assisting all departments to meet the expectations of external audit requirements, provide advice, guidance, assistance and direction to all employees in matters pertaining to WHS and assist as required in the aligning, building, coaching and development of safety capability in all departments.
A key focus for the role is developing the capability of leaders to identify and manage WHS risks in their operations and reinforcing their accountability for WHS. A key challenge for the role is operating is an dynamic working production environment.
As a leadership role the WHS Manager works to support broader cultural change in the workplace aligned to Costa Values and our culture of care.
