ABOUT THE ROLE

At Curtin University, we’re committed to creating an exceptional campus experience that is safe, compliant, and functional for all. We are currently seeking a Compliance and Contractor Support Officer to join our Properties, Facilities and Development (PF&D) team.
This key role provides operational support across contractor compliance, safety processes, and administrative coordination - ensuring that faculty, tenants, and contractors understand and meet Curtin’s compliance obligations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working closely with the Compliance Coordinator, you will:

  • Respond to queries related to Curtin’s compliance, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Manage the Permit to Work process, including inbox triage, reviews, and approvals.
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks related to contractor compliance, maintenance, and risk mitigation.
  • Support the development and reporting of internal compliance systems and workflows.
  • Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ensure contractor documentation meets Curtin’s standards.
  • Provide training and support to contractors, faculty, and tenants on compliance procedures and digital systems.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Permanent Australian Working Rights
  • White Card and WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel across Curtin campuses
  • Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
