Our new Horsley Park site has installed a state-of-the-art high speed filling lines to enable faster production in manufacturing Household and Laundry care products with a capacity to fill approximately 14,000 bottles per hour. Job Description About this opportunity As WHSE Lead based at Horsley Park, you will provide advice to the Operations Manager and team to drive a safety improvement culture on the production floor. This role requires being an active member of the Manufacturing Team and ensuring the site is meeting their compliance obligations to the WHSE system, legislation, regulations and various licences. This role will be required to comply with the responsibilities, act in a safe manner, report any unsafe issues or risks to the environment as well as drive a high level of safety within the work area. Your key responsibilities will be to: Implementation and co-coordinate all of the Work Health, Safety and Environment systems at a new site, including WHSE during commissioning, operations, cleaning & maintenance. Review, implement and maintain the site to the Group WHSE system. Ensure group and site WHSE policies & procedures are maintained and distributed to relevant personnel. Ensure the site WHS system meets current WHSE legislation. Ensure the communication of company and legislative WHSE requirements has been delivered to all employees. Lead all external WHSE audits, including develop and management of the corrective and preventative action plans. Ensure WHSE system complies to Customer Quality or Integrity requirements. Track key systems indicators and report results to Management, including but not limited to accidents, incidents and near misses risks and hazards. Ensure all safety training and competency for all personnel is identified, scheduled and completed. Assist in managing workers compensation claims as directed by the group. Ensuring the Return-to-Work program is fully functional on site. Liaise with injured workers, Insurance and rehabilitation providers and Pact Group Wellness Team as required. Ensure safe work practices are adhered to and report any problems to management. Ensure all first aid equipment, first aid stations and room have been maintained by designated personnel. Ensure all safety equipment on site is monitored and maintained by designated personnel Participate on the WHS Committee. Ensure investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, hazards or identified risks have been adequately completed by the prescribed deadlines. Ensure personal protective equipment when specified or deemed necessary has been correctly issued by designated personnel & is being used properly. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Previous experience in Establishing a new manufacturing site and the compliance requirements. Familiarity with Quality Systems, GMP, HACCP, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Project Management) Knowledge of Industrial Relations, local WHSE regulations, legislation and Cultural Diversity in Workplace Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sales/Client Relationship experience. Unrestricted Car Licence. Qualifications Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Safety related field Solid tenure experience in similar role in a manufacturing environment
