The Grant County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) clinic is hiring a WIC Clerk to join our committed and skilled team. This part-time position is scheduled 28 hours per week. Meet our Grant County WIC Team: https://indianahealthonline.org/locations/grant-county-wic/ Clinic Hours of Operation: Monday - 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Thursday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. IHC's Part Time benefits include: No nights or weekends 403(b) Retirement Plan matching at one year of employment Continuing Education reimbursement funds Two Employee Assistance Programs WIC Clerk Job Overview: Screens income, identification, and residency documents; complete WIC certification and WIC check-generating forms Orients clients to the WIC program Provides information about foods available and authorized vendors and explains the purpose of the WIC identification folder Explains the purpose of the WIC identification folder Issues WIC checks and secures required electronic signatures Sends form letters to clients covering eligibility, sanction, and appointment reminder Participates in occasional outreach work Answers phones, schedules appointments, files, and completes other standard clerical tasks Assists in the preparation of monthly reports Required skills include: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Interacts with colleagues and patients in a professional manner Possess excellent communication skills Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent required At least one year of clerical experience is preferred Equal Opportunity Employment Statement We are an equal opportunity employer.
