Children’s Friend is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented WIC Program Assistant to be the welcoming face and helpful hand for families navigating the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to create a lasting impact. 💼 WHAT YOU’LL DO: As a WIC Program Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping families access essential nutrition services and community resources. Your day-to-day will include: * Screening applicants for eligibility * Providing program information and secondary nutrition education * Performing basic health assessments like height, weight, and hemoglobin checks * Connecting families with vital services such as housing, food banks, and healthcare * Supporting WIC participants both in-person and over the phone * Keeping our records and systems accurate and up to date 🌈 WHAT YOU BRING: * A high school diploma or GED * At least one year of administrative support experience * Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills * Proficiency with computer systems and data entry * Experience in a medical or social services setting (preferred) * Bilingual in English and Spanish (required); additional languages a plus! * A heart for helping others and a passion for community health 💡 WHY JOIN US?
